Previously riding for Unabomber, he featured in the 2008 independent production Baghead Flats, before smashing it in 2010, getting countless covers, a full interview in Sidewalk, and emerging victorious from the UK Mini Ramp Champs in Skegness.
He built on these achievements the following year with victory at the Wangl Tangl Mini Ramp Tag Team Battle with Andy Scott. And in November, he won the Vans UK Skateboard Association National Skateboarding Championships at the XC Skate and BMX Park in Hemel Hempstead, taking first place from Ross McGouran and Conhuir Lynn with an impressive display of skill.
Josh is from the West Yorkshire town of Tingley, and is now based in nearby Leeds. He first skated over 10 years ago after being inspired to try out the sport by a friend, and he was soon ripping it on a Mark Gonzales Camo Real board, influenced by his heroes Bob Burnquist and Gino Iannucci
His well-deserved first Vans advert appeared in Sidewalk 171, featuring a massive FS flip, and he also appeared in the National Skateboard Co.’s first clip, released in 2013. Currently riding a 8.25 The National Skateboard Co. ‘Playing Fields’ board with Independent 139s, 52mm Autobahns Wheels and Modus Titanium bearings, he has also been Skate Team Manager at Route One since September 2013.
