Vans Europe X Octagon present ‘Codebase’

With Valentin Bauer, Joseph Biais and Yeelen Moens

Vans Europe X Octagon present ‘Codebase’, rounding off their recent shoe collaboration with an edit put together in Octagon’s immediately recognisable, colour-bleached dystopian future. The lower echelons of gleaming concrete and steel structures are taken full advantage of by the capable feet of Yeelen Moens, Joseph Biais and Valentin Bauer in the video you see below, while you can scroll down for further visual gratification courtesy of a collection of photographs taken during the filming process by Loïc Benoit. CODEBASE:

Deep in the highest security labs of the Öctagon system headquarters, scientists from the Vans unit have been busy with a new confidential program known as “Codebase”. They are the gatekeepers of the system built to keep individuals under control. Their role is crucial to maintain order by making human beings comply with the data they receive.

Codebase is conducted by the corporation in an attempt to create a new version of plugs aiming at improving surveillance within the system. Technological progress made in this post-modernist era now enable these plugs to be mounted straight onto individual’s feet in order to precisely track their movements.

VANS Europe rounds off its collaboration with revered French Skate brand ÖCTAGON by releasing a special video project set in the heart of Paris, France.

CODEBASE continues to adopt Öctagons methods of blending Sci-Fi with black and white visuals. With the software enabled the video proceeds to showcase Yeelen Moens, Valentin Bauer and Joseph Bias exploring and skating new terrains across Paris, France.

Over recent years, ÖCTAGON has made skate culture headway with its futuristic skate videos and as your about to see, this is no different.
