The Bunt Live podcast is back with Chima Ferguson in NYC
Canada’s funniest skate podcast returns and hits the House of Vans, Brooklyn
Cephas and Donovan are back for 2018 and starting off with a banger, sitting down with previous podcast victim Chima Ferguson to discuss his new shoe the Chima Pro 2, the upcoming Vans video project due to drop this Spring and plenty more.
For those of you unaware of what The Bunt Live is, it’s the brainchild of 3 Canadian skaters which takes the generally sedate podcast format deep into Bog Brother territory and asks all the questions that most avoid. Previous memorable episodes include Brian Wenning discussing spending time in an outdoor jail in Arizona, Jake Phelps talking Thrasher and Brian Herman talking about getting locked up at 16 for filming skateboarding.
This week’s episode is part promo for the new Vans Chima shoe, and part discussion of all things skate-culture related. There’s an interesting little debate about how the Internet and the instant nature of Instagram has forced Skateboarding to become a little softer than it used to be, due to the inevitable backlash against anything even vaguely suspect on Insta.
(On a related subject, check out Ted Barrow on the @feedback_ts Insta account too which is mentioned a couple of times – it’s funny and erudite – a supremely rare mixture in today’s skateboarding landscape).
Chima is a funny guy, there are lots of insider stories from life on the road for Thrasher’s KOTR (including relating watching Real team mate Robbie Brockel taking a crap down a chimney whilst handcuffed to Chima), with very little sugar-coating as befitting his Australian sense of humour.
Check out all the recent info on Vans’ current Chima Pro 2 release with pictures and further details on the full range of footwear and related apparel that is currently awaiting you in skate stores across the UK whilst you’re at it.
P.S. Cephas, we’ve forgiven you for how cringe that Nora interview was.
