The Toronto two-some return for episode 3 of Season 6 of The Bunt Live podcast with Toy Machine and Vans pro Dan Lutheran.
You should know by now how we feel about this piece of audio culture: yeah, their fake London accents are ridiculous and yes, they deliberately poke around for beef but by God, it’s funny.
This week’s guest Dan Lutheran talks us through growing up skating ditches in New Mexico, his big break via Skateboarder Magazine’s ‘Mag Minute’ and his skate upbringing sweating in the desert.
Prepare yourselves for lots of high-positivity anecdotes relating to his ender in Toy Machine’s ‘Brain Wash’ video and getting smoked trying the same trick for various different video projects before finally getting it during the week of the deadline. Filming and suffering during the filming of Vans ‘Propeller‘, being a part of the media circus that is post-Vice KOTR, and plenty more besides.
As you’d expect Dan Lutheran comes across really well, full of positive vibes and laughter as befitting his general aura. He’s also amusingly honest about the ‘work’ aspect of being a pro skater, “Yeah sometimes there’s pressure but it’s not as if we’re brain surgeons is it?”
Additionally for Forrest Edwards fans, there are a few funny stories relating to everyone’s favourite ‘not even trying’ superstar trying to ollie huge gaps in a Superman costume and then being filmed live with his cock inadvertently hanging out.
Finishing up on one of the least brutal Rapid Fires yet, this is, as always, an entertaining hour and a half of skate chat.
“Worst trend? “The trend of pretending it’s cool not to care isn’t really legit…”
We managed to miss out on posting last week’s James Hardy Bunt Live episode so you can find that via the link in this sentence for some Heath Kirchart beef.
