The Bunt Live podcast with Ted ‘Feedback’ Barrow

Instagram's skateboarding professor speaks to The Bunt Live

We’ve missed a few of the recent podcasts from Season 6 of Canada’s shit-talking institution The Bunt Live for a variety of reasons but we’re back on the case now with what the Bunt boys themselves would no doubt describe as a “barn burner”.
For those who don’t know who Ted Barrow is, he’s a long time skater, born on a hippy colony in Northern California and brought up in Austin, Texas, where he began skating.
Since then, Ted has been on the fringes of the sponsored milieu with cameos in various East Coast videos over the years whilst studying art history, before entering the world of academia where he still resides, currently teaching Art History classes in New York.
Interesting though this is, this is not the reason why The Bunt Live have Ted Barrow on as a guest – that is due to Ted’s other public role as skateboarding’s very own high brow master of critique via his Instagram page @feedback_ts
If you’ve lurked the Feedback account then you will already be well aware of his withering sense of humour, his militant approach to maintaining the necessary equilibrium between outfit and trick selection and, well, the fact that he’s really funny.

At first glance, the Insta feed that has (kind of) made Ted Barrow famous to a degree could be taken as being unduly harsh but, if you listen to him discuss the idea behind it in The Bunt Live podcast above – we think you’ll quickly realize that he’s genuinely doing it for the sake of fun – most of the time at least.
Have a listen to the podcast first, then go for a digital wander through the @feedback_ts feed – it’ll either make you laugh or make you angry – either way, there are definitely worse ways to spend an aimless Instagram meander.

If you need further convincing, here are a few choice quotes culled from his Bunt interview.

“The difference between and artist and his art is the difference between pig’s lips and a sausage…”

“Think skateboards was a drug front…I looked at sponsored skating dead in the face and it looked fucking depressing.”
