Carhartt WIP welcomes Remy Taveira to their ranks in their banging new part promo/part welcome edit ‘TAV’, which also sees the wider team hitting the streets in search of not so much gleaming marble perfection as spots that would flay you alive if you even though about slamming.

Remy has been killing it for a long time now and new footage from him is always welcome, whether it’s embracing his inner hippy with the Atlantic Drift crew, cruising through the streets of Paris on a mellow tip or absolutely going in, as he can be found doing in the video you’ll see below. A press of the play button will most likely before long have you weeping tears of bittersweet joy into your Monday afternoon caffeine beverage as Remy spins frontside 360s out of wallies, tops up his hippy jump quota from the above quoted Atlantic Drift edit, wallrides spots in corners you couldn’t ride up to and ollies gaps that you’d probably hang up trying to walk across.

The editing by Guillaume Périmony is spot on too, with a couple of interesting music choices and strange visuals intertwined with the skateboarding contained within. I’m unsure what the mannequins are about though, possibly a reference to the removal of his luscious locks? Maybe even a nod to 1987 Kim Catrall vehicle and feel good rom com ‘Mannequin’, which inspired Remy’s section in ways that we can’t even comprehend from a desk in the depths of South London? It will perhaps forever remain a mystery.
