Prepare your eyes for a heavy dose of Harry Lintell

Sunday Service – Harry Lintell Footage Feast

We’re still so stoked on Ashford’s finest getting so much shine in Spitfire Wheels’ latest Arson Department clip that we thought it fitting to devote this week’s Sunday Service to the man himself so, sit back and get ready for a heroic dose of Harry Lintell.

This is by no means intended as an exhaustive list however, as Harry is something of a machine when it comes to producing video parts but these are some of our favourite UK based releases featuring this gap-toothed maniac from over the last few years. Some qualify as ‘sections’, other are clips with notable Harry Lintell antics scattered throughout, and there’s even a glimpse of his innocent days as a fully committed park rat localising his native Ashford skatepark in Kent.

Enough blabber – this dude has been one of the best, most stylish and gnarliest UK skateboarders for a long, long time and it’s amazing to see that the rest of the world is finally catching up.
All hail Hairy Lentils – welcome to our Sunday Service – Harry Lintell Footage Feast.

First up, we have the newest of the videos contained within this Sunday Service – Harry Lintell Footage Feast – namely the Volcom ‘Euro Stokes’ edit featuring a grip of banging footage filmed on various European Volcom trips that didn’t make it into Volcom’s ‘Holy Stokes‘ full-length video.
Notable Harry appearances here include the ridiculous feeble grind on the rail outside the Dewsbury Rams Rugby Club in West Yorkshire (still only ever skated by Harry and Charlie Birch to this day), which you can see a banging Jelle Keppens photo of below.
Oh yeah, Harry also knackered his cock during one of these trips but you probably don’t want to know about that to be honest.

Next up we have Kevin Parrott‘s excellent Video Selek piece featuring Harry and fellow danger enthusiast Manny Lopez wrecking London for Kev’s lens.
This one dropped in Feb 2016 but is still a banger. If you missed out on it previously, get involved now.

Backing up the above, we have the Converse UK team excursion around the seaside resorts of Yorkshire and the North West also filmed and released during the Baltic winter of 2016. How they returned with any footage at all is beyond me as Whitby is fucking freezing in June, never mind February.

The next of our Sunday Service – Harry Lintell Footage Feast selection comes in the form of another Kevin Parrott crafted banger. Harry’s Volcom ‘True to This’ part dropped in February (do I see a theme here?) of 2015 and reminded everyone just how next level he is. Nobody else is switch flipping the barrier at Southbank, let alone doing it three times in a week and a half. Bonkers.
Oh yeah, and for the record, the frontblunt flip out at Chalky ledges was first try and the switch big heel at 0:44 was third try, (preceded by a first try switch frontside heel that wasn’t even ‘good’ enough to use in this).
Peep those stats.

On another 2015 hype tip, here’s Sean Lomax‘s edit from Emerica’s ‘Wild in the Streets’ event held in Manchester, home of Harry’s long-time shop sponsor Black Sheep.
Your man was on one that day and came through for the crowd’s with an NBD boardslide down the Castlefield Arena rail in honour of Garry Woodward‘s valiant efforts a decade earlier.

Next up we’ve got a Morph Piffsticks edit filmed during the period that he and Harry were room mates in Clapton. This one’s a cracker from back in September 2014. Hold tight Morph!
“Be careful! I will discipline you in a minute!”

Filmed from roughly 2009 and premiered in 2011 in Liverpool, London, Milton Keynes, Belfast and Glasgow, Harry got himself the curtains in our second full-length video ‘In Progress‘.
People seemed to enjoy this video and were blown away by the level of stuff Harry was doing on the regs at that point despite being a) kind of homeless and b) running a busted knee.
I still get chills watching the 5050 on the Subway kink in Sheffield. Gnarliest thing I’ve ever witnessed live for sure.

Obviously, with Harry being Harry, he still had enough left over footage from In Progress for another part so in turn we released a Bonus DVD (remember them?) that came attached to the paper mag back in 2011.

As we’re on the subject of fucking massive handrails – a fair few jaws dropped when Harry 5050’d the unskateable rail with the massive drop outside the Casino at the top end of Leeds city centre in this 2010 Big Push iPath team video.
I personally sat next to Jamie Thomas (cmoac) on a Fallen tour when he watched this (9:22 on the clip below) and even he was shocked. “You better watch yourself”, indeed.
Truly banging. (You can find all the 28 Big Push videos that Sidewalk was involved in, over at the Sidewalk Mag Youtube Channel)

And for the final video of this Sunday Service – Harry Lintell Footage Feast we return to Harry’s native Ashford and the sponsor-me tape that first brought him to national attention.
This short clip was submitted as an entry for the 2008 DVS ‘Hook Me Up’ contest that we used to run.
At this point, Harry was an unknown kid from a small town in Kent – after this he went on to win the DVS contest, get sponsored, start to travel and the rest, as they say – is history.

Raise a glass to one of the UK’s finest! Lots more to come from Harry in the coming months.
Now – go skateboarding.
