Sad news straight from the house of Crayon…
I would like to announce that our time here has come to an end. The last 5 and a half years have been some of the best years I could have asked for and I am super stoked to have been on some amazing trips with the team visiting amazing places, working with artists to produce some amazing deck designs that I will treasure for the rest of my days, working on video and web material with hard back DVD’s that I will keep very safe with pride.
It’s a long list of people that I want to thank and without some there would be no Crayon, mainly 3 guys. Nick Richards has been right by my side all the way with filming editing web design. Phil Morgan designed the most boards for me, I’m proud to say and also helped with other design work, and lastly Nat Jones working hard on the design of the whole brand with catalogues, website, boards etc. Amazing stuff guys with out you there would of been no Crayon – FACT!
Also my favourite part of the company – the team. Had such good times, skating, filming, partying, travelling and just generally having a laugh, which is what it’s all about the end of the day. I will treasure those moments for ever! Thank you Chris Jones, Welsh Tommy, Korahn Gayle, Dan Wileman, Barber, James Coyle and Andy ‘Evz’ Evans, and also for part Matt Davies, Steven King and Chris Gibbons, and not forgetting our little flow rider Jamie Richards who I’m sure will have a bright skateboarding future in front of him.
Also there’s a lot of other people that i would like to thank. John Fisher, George Neven, Ciaran O’Conner, Louis Gaine, Huw Caddy, Ollie Birch, Mike O’Shea and Scot Magill for contributing with filming.
Mike Ridout, Nathan Rutherford, Phil Mortimer, Ben Larth, Ash Wilson and Leo Sharp for contributing there photography skills. Tom Hopson, Godmachine, Jon Horner and Mike O’Shea for their art collabs on boards. Wes and Joe at Rock solid for doing a excellent job distributing the brand. Colin Kennedy for being a pleasure to work along side with being Korahn and Chris’s other sponsor at Nike. Rye @ Sidewalk and Zac @ Crossfire for being amazing to work with, their very professional manner helping me with promotions and getting it out there for people to see, and Alun Davey on website work – thanks mate.
A special mention for one of my favourite artists Pete Fowler and one of my favourite bands Super Furry Animals, working on a big collab with you guys is a dream come true to say the least.
Also there’s other people deserve a mention for being good friends and given a help in hand when needed, like Dave Mackey, Mike Pearson, Nicky Howells, Dylan Hughes, Christian Hart, Rhys Wilton, Martin Jones, Jon Harris, Matt Pritchard, Dan Cates, Nic Zorlac, Joe Perrin, Ricky @ Exist, Leo Sharp, Jono Davies, Evo and Guto and all at City Surf.
And lastly to shops stoking Crayon and everyone who bought any Crayon product, there’s no greater feeling than seeing someone riding a board or wearing a t-shirt that you have produced, thank you so much 🙂
BIG THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU!
That’s about all to say apart from I am out of here and about to do my Heath Kirchart impression and cycle across America!
