We love these Canadian idiots, (even more so now that we’ve had the chance to drink free booze with them) so it gives us great pleasure to announce that Season 7 of The Bunt Live is finally here.
If you’re not aware of what The Bunt is, here’s a brief overview: The Bunt Live is a Canadian skateboarding and sports podcast run by two Toronto-based skaters Cephas Benson and Donovan Jones.
It roughly translates to an audio version of The Nine Club and whilst there is often cross-over in terms of guests (Brian Wenning has appeared on both shows for example), The Bunt most definitely errs on the side of brutal pisstaking, where the Nine Club offers a more anodyne, industry-friendly interview style.
With that said, The Bunt Live has obviously impressed enough industry people and has a wide enough reach as they are now officially sponsored by Vans, hence their appearance at the recent TNT Advanced Prototype Launch at The House of Vans, London.
The live recording of the Tony Trujillo interview from there (complete with TNT soundboard and fake London slang) will no doubt appear as one of the podcasts for this Season – we’ll let you know when.
Anyhow, enough backstory – the first episode of Season 7 sees every skateboarder’s favourite Social Media shunning skateboarding polymath Wes Kremer open up to the Canucks on all manner of subjects – presented as only these two knobheads can. Interested in hearing how Wes Kremer first got sponsored? It’s covered.
Going to skate camp as a kid? Yep. Participating in the Dime Glory Challenge? Yep. That and lots, lots more plus a particularly funny Rapid Fire – “Most illegal trick?” “iPhones, get that shit off the sesh.”
Basically – just go listen to it – it’s funny, they’re good lads and it’s Wes Kremer – do you need to know anything else? Good work Bunters – standard.
“If Trump’s going to build a wall between the US and Canada, fuck it – make it into a spine and air over the barbed wire dude…”
