Kris Vile is a pro for Vans Europe, and also rides for Volcom Europe, Type S Wheels and Derby’s Rollersnakes skateshop. He first major video release was his part in Andy Evans’ 2007 independent film This ‘n That, and he also starred in Evans’ follow-up Heel Toe Magic (2009), as well as Vans Europe’s Roll With Us (2008) and 1966 (2010).
In recent years, he has travelled the world in search of the greatest spots around, including trips to China, Latvia, Spain, Portugal and Australia/New Zealand. In December 2013, he dropped many hammers in The Kris Vile Files, an exclusive Vans video part produced by Kingpin’s Sam Bailey, and he also appeared in Get Lesta’s What’s Cookin’.
Kris was born in Solihull, near Birmingham on 14th February 1989 and began riding at the age of 11, after his brother got a board as a birthday present. He progressed quickly, and was soon given A Third Foot board by Birmingham’s Ideal skateshop which led to a place on the Vans junior team at the age of 13, an appearance in Channel 5’s Rad (where he first met Andy Evans), and then on to Blind Europe, Santa Cruz and Manuel Palacios’s newly-launched CLAN 010.
Kris’s video appearances are proof of how hard he pushes his skateboarding, and his constant travelling around the world, often with Vans Europe, garnered him extensive coverage. Now living back in Birmingham once again, he was honoured in 2013 with his very own guest board on A Third Foot.
