Transworld Skateboarding has uploaded their edit from the Vans Girls Combi Pool Classic 2018 to the web, offering a solid dose of transition gnarliness in the iconic bowl with the current and next generation of women hungry for a slice of pool coping destruction.

The Orange County behemoth of a pool is no joke and the Girls Combi Pool Classic, now in its seventh year, has been getting gnarlier with each changing of the calendar. It’s clear that the youth have been taking notes whilst watching previous years’ events – both second and third place went to skaters in their teens (Jordyn Barratt and Brighton Zeuner respectively) and overall winner Nicole Hause only just out of them. Nicole’s winning run was well earned as well – she could have probably got it just for that backside ollie over the hip into the deep, but a bunch more variations on well lofted airs rounded off by a heavy invert fakie slam definitely can’t have hurt matters. Absolutely going for it!

From full bore frontside nosegrinds in the round to properly shaped eggplants and from big airs to switch blunts, this one runs the gamut of transition based gnarliness.
