James Harris recently dusted off an old hard drive containing the footage from a 2010 Venture UK in Kent trip and decided to rework it into a fresh edit for his own enjoyment and for your and mine viewing pleasure. Hitting a couple of Kent based skateparks as well as the iconic long three set which can be found on Ramsgate seafront (at least I’m 75% sure it’s in Ramsgate – go there and see for yourselves, if it isn’t at least you can get a Mr Whippy and pretend it isn’t freezing fucking cold in the arse end of March) for the most part, the crew also manage to unearth a few lesser sessioned street gems in an area of the country that isn’t known for its plethora of easily skateable architecture.
Dave Snaddon, Adam Howe, Mark Kendrick, Craig Smedley, Dylan Hughes, Nicky Howells and Dan Wileman get stuck in and have no problem putting their Venture’s to the test against concrete well corroded by the sea air
Once you’ve watched this dose of Kentish nostalgia, you can journey even further into what it felt like to be the UK Venture team in Kent, in 2010, by checking out a photo blog of said team in said county, in said year…
For a further visual journey through the skate spots that Kent has to offer, you could do far worse than checking out Nathan Staples’ Duro series, which sees him exploring the county’s most rugged terrain armed with a VX and a crew full of people who seem very eager to chuck themselves at what is essentially tetanus in skate spot form.
