My Tube – Gav Coughlan Top 5 Skate clips

My Tube with Gav Coughlan - Top 5 re-watched clips from one of the Ireland's best.

My Tube – Gav Coughlan

Following on from where Daryl Dominguez left off this time last week, today we speak to the Birdhouse and Globe endorsed Dublin ripper Gav Coughlan to find out which nuggets of gold he’s plucked from the never ending stream of skateboarding content for visual safekeeping.

Read on below to see what slices of recent and not-so-recent slices of skateboarding cinematography Gav has handpicked for you to enjoy for his instalment of My Tube, then be sure to keep yourself abreast of all things Irish over on Gav’s constantly updated Skate Eire website.

Rick McCrank’s section in ‘Yeah Right!’ is probably my all time favourite section. The song goes so well with it, and any time I’d hear that song it would get my so hyped to skate. McCrank has a well-rounded bag of tricks with the steez to back it all up!

Jamie Foy’s ‘Next New Wave’ part. He’s the embodiment of ‘Das Pinch’ and no matter what section it is of him I watch, it gets me so hyped to skate.

Tiago is one of my favourites to watch at the moment. He’s got so much power, pop and style. He makes everything look good and has done some of the best switch back tails I’ve ever seen.

I always loved this section from ‘Guilty’ as it was more like a music video than just a skate section. The mix between the two works well and it gets me hyped on the tech side of skating. Smolik was doing some of these combos while those modern day tech kids were still in diapers.

Every Wes section is amazing. He’s one of those skateboarders that is capable of doing everything, all the while making it look good. Every section shows how hyped he is on skating as well; a true skate rat that’s enjoying every minute of it.

And to round off this installment of My Tube, here are a handful of recent sightings of Gav, putting his knees through their paces in and around his hometown of Dublin and further afield…
