Shred the North – Roots of a Scene

A celebration of all things North East skateboarding

Shred the North presents Roots of a Scene, a day celebrating the North East skate scene taking place on Saturday the 7th of July. Taking place at Arch Sixteen Cafe in Gateshead, it will open at 12pm with a variety of workshops and film screenings taking place until 5pm – alongside a mapping of local spots and a ‘skate family tree’, which we imagine is what the title relates to.

From 6pm up until midnight there will be a number of further film screenings, including the upcoming Long Live Southbank video and local promo videos. For a very recent clip from Shred The North, check out the edit which accompanied the latest issue of Hangup Zine and focused on their trip down to Sheffield, Derby and Nottingham.

Big up grassroots events, get over to Gateshead and support this one if you can!
