Following on from the A Group video last week, Elliott Mallinson keeps the Truro vert hype going with the Mount Hawke Vert Jam 2018 Masters Highlights. Proof that skateboarding keeps you young, this one has some shredding in it that those of us who can’t even kneeslide (to my eternal shame) can only imagine.
Greg Nowik took third place, making the ramp look small due to the fact that many years ago he unlocked the ancient alchemist’s art of turning anything he touches into a miniramp where he can explore the farthest reaches of deep space tech – witness more of Greg’s vertical talents via our recent Skaterham Terrain Spotting article. Moonshiner Chris Hudson came in second due to an ability to contort his backside airs in a unique way in between charging the coping like a man possessed. Talking of coping charging, after watching the full edit you’ll see why Dave Allen took first place – the Baby Rhino pretty much has a full section at the end of the video. This is obviously good news for fans of his ‘all out attack’ brand of vert skating (and who isn’t) and also the perfect opportunity to plug this weekend’s Death Skateboards 20 year anniversary jam at The House (also 20 this year), which is taking place on Saturday!
As usual mad props to the UK Independent Vert Series organisers – check their website for details of the rest of the year’s events!
