Parts 8 of Hell Yeah Son‘s European adventures sees them washing up in Barcelona, following in the classically alcohol fuelled footsteps of any number of literary heavyweights in ‘Catalonia Wine Mixer’. Excessive booze consumption is better processed by the kidneys in hot weather (scientific, medical fact is that), so said wine mixers do little to impair the session as Barcelona’s recent crop of banging DIY builds get a proper seeing too by Alex Diss, Rob Jones and a number of assorted rippers tagging along for the ride.
The many skateable nooks and crannies of Barcelona aren’t ignored, but it’s definitely Spotter DIY and its offspring that take centre stage here and the bark of pool coping abuse ringing out in the smog heavy Catalan sunshine is just as redolent as the surf crazed peal of East Bay Ray’s guitar or the pounding wall of sound that is Kadaver. A few trucks definitely aged rapidly over the course of the making of this one…
As the spring technically gets underway in a fairly unsurprising deluge of skypiss, press play below for ten minutes of vicarious vitamin D before either crying with depression, booking a one way flight to Spain or a combination of the two. Once that particular moment has passed, your bank account is empty and you’ve sobbed yourself out, scroll down for links to the previous installments of the Hell Yeah Son 2017 summer tour and even more inspiration to get on a plane…
