Hell Yeah Son in Europe pt.2 – Lohserampe

Earlier in the week, we posted the first of the Hell Yeah Son edits from Alex Diss’ European adventures last summer which featured Sox, Jordan Thackeray, Alex Hallford, Rob Jones and Toby Gozzett sessioning a floating, waterbound miniramp in Cologne. All of this excitement was followed by a heavy after party session, the blurry highlights of which you can see here (any party involving Chumbawumba singalongs has clearly reached dangerous levels of hype), followed by a hungover session at Cologne’s Lohserampe. The Lohserampe happens to look like it might be the best miniramp in the world (I seriously had to go on Skyscanner halfway through watching and check the price on summer flights to Cologne), with a bowl corner, various extensions, a spine/pump bump set up and basically anything you could want chucked in the mix without crowding the set up too much. Throw Jordan, Hallford, Rob and Sox in the mix (we’re assuming Toby partied himself out the previous evening), alongside a number of local rippers and even legendary Brighton vert ripper Pasty on the deck taking care of hype man duties, and a session is definitely going to go down.

Every corner of the miniramp gets to enjoy the soft caress of warm urethane and Creedence Clearwater Revival provide the soundtrack – something which editors should definitely take note of, more CCR please! But it’s not just blues rock legends and crap sort of anarchist bands involved providing the aural accompaniment to this video…the most important thing of musical note is by far and away Pasty’s banjo accompanied instant classic ‘Eggplant Every Day’.
