Hell Yeah Son presents a summery throwback from his European travels, with a session on a floating ramp taking place in a river somewhere in Germany. Featuring Jordan Thackeray, Sox, Rob Jones, Toby Gozzett and Alex Hallford risking sunken skateboard disappointment in return for cheap thrills and skate jam glory, a number of board dunkings, Rob taking the ‘Dan Cates’ route to underwater schralpage, one of the most hyped competition MCs possibly in the whole of Germany and plenty more. Ten minutes would normally feel like a long amount of time to watch just one miniramp, but the scenic location coupled with the skaters involved and their ability to make skateboarding look like the visual equivalent of an Ornette Coleman record means that you definitely won’t be getting bored of this one (if you do, you’re possibly in the wrong place).
Press play, enjoy a ten minute reminder of why it’s really nice to escape the UK for a bit and then check out the full length Hell Yeah Son video, which dropped at the end of last year, for shredding much closer to home (unless you are reading this from a home in Germany). As the Hell Yeah Son European road trip was very much an extended one last year then we imagine this is the first of many clips which will be surfacing from his travels, keep your eyes peeled for more nomadic Brit rovings across the continent and in the meantime wish you were here!
Hell Yeah Son mastermind Alex Diss is also currently heavily involved in the redevelopment of the long serving Urbside DIY spot in Essex, which you can donate to here and help advance the cause of guerilla concrete.
