Here’s a few quick Q&A’s with the team about the Dallas mission…
MARTY MURAWSKI
Best/Worst about traveling with a bunch of guys from different countries? The best is getting to listen to the accents. If they sing a rap song it’s the funnest thing. The worst is my accent to them probably sounds way worse.
Best fastfood on the trip? Don’t think we had any on this trip but I’ll just say chick-fil-a.
Best/Worst thing about your team manager? We’re friends so we get along great. Also he knows how I skate and go about getting tricks So I don’t have to worry about that. The bad thing is actually a positive but he pushing me to skate when I’m beat.
Best/Worst behavior in the van? Best is everything that Luis does. Nothing bad, everyone is pretty rad.
Who’s farts smell the worst? Dearth.
Best thing about slingshots? Hitting the bottle or can.
Who partied the hardest? Probably me. Runs in my family
Who killed the most decks? Zack.
Best story that happened on tour? There’s one I can think of but I’m gonna keep that one to myself.
Something nobody knows about Daewon Song? He can break your arm like that!
Hardest ripper? Zack and Luis I think on this trip.
Best trick? Luis jumping over everything
Worst slam? Flo rolled his ankle pretty bad
How was ‘DVS does Dallas’ compared to ‘DVS does Detroit’? Not as cold as the D!
FLO MIRTAIN
Best/Worst about traveling with a bunch of guys from different countries? Best: Melting pot, everybody have something to bring to the others. Worst: Language barrier, but I progress!
Best fastfood on the trip? I don’t remember the name, it was the first night, we went to that burger place at like 2:00 AM. I don’t know if it was really good, but after 24 hours of flight everything was tasting great!
Best/Worst thing about your team manager? Best: He was one of my favorite skaters when I was kid! Worst: I don’t understand when he talk to me (laughs), British accent!
Best/Worst behavior in the van? Not smoking in the van in probably a good behavior in the van for everybody, but for me its the worst…
Who’s farts smell the worst? Dearth, no hesitation
Best thing about slingshots? When you are hurt, you can practice that when everybody else is skating…
Who partied the hardest? “Party” Murawski!
Who killed the most decks? I think Zack broke some boards…
Best story that happened on tour? We went to see a hockey game with a big suite and everything, it was the first game I saw in the US, it was really an “American” show.
Something nobody knows about Daewon Song? He skates without bushing on his front trucks, but I guess everybody know that now…
Hardest ripper? I would say Luis went hard in the paint everyday!
Best trick? Shier did a line with a slappy noseslide pop out on a sidewalk, for me it was the best trick!
Worst slam? I guess I hurt myself the most. I f*cked up my hands the first day, and then twisted my ankle the second day. After that I couldn’t skates for 2 months. But I remember Zack hit his hips pretty bad, he get the hugest bruise!
How was ‘DVS does Dallas’ compared to ‘DVS does Detroit’? All the team was present for DVS goes Dallas!
DAEWON SONG
Best fastfood on the trip? Gas station sushi.
Best/Worst thing about your team manager? He seems to handle both sides pretty damn well! Pro/team manager.
Best/Worst behavior in the van? Luis Tolentino gets worst and best, but both in an amazing way! Always good times.
Who’s farts smell the worst? I don’t recall smelling anyone’s that I could target.
Best thing about slingshots? What kind? The 1 for speed is amazing! Sometimes my legs just don’t cut it for the speed I’m looking for! But a real slingshot gets a little boring for me.
Best/Worst about traveling with a bunch of guys from different countries? Best thing is just being able to hang out and just catch up. Worst thing is the hangovers from it being so fun hanging out with the team!
Who partied the hardest? We all partied hard!
Who killed the most decks? Maybe Zack! He’s amazing.
Best story that happened on tour? Got to go see a my first hockey game and hang with Dallas’ finest!
Hardest ripper? The Whole DVS crew killed it!
Best trick? Ricky Melniks’ feeble grind.
Worst slam? A beer I never tried and I didn’t want to waste it so I slammed it! Disgusting.
How was ‘DVS does Dallas’ compared to ‘DVS does Detroit’? Just as fun! Definitely a different setting but great people and amazing spots! Can’t wait to go back.
