DC X Slam City Skates – Josh Kalis Memory Screen

In case you’ve missed the hype so far, Slam City Skates and DC Shoes have teamed up to rebuild the iconic grate to bin which played host to Josh Kalis‘ finest tre flip steez.

To celebrate the DC X Slam City Skates collaboration they commissioned Memory Screen to put together a remix of some of Kalis’ best Love Park footage, with one of the most stylish skateboarders out there backed by Artifacts for the maximum levels of dopeness that can be extracted from a three minute video clip.

Scroll down for more info on the project, have a watch and reminisce about the 90s, and get lurking around London this weekend for Kalis/Blabac/Love Park themed sessions!

“Enjoy this exclusive DC Josh Kalis Remix made for us by Memory Screen. This is made up of a wealth of Love Park gems which highlight just how much Kalis dominated this Philadelphia mainstay. This contains footage from the late nineties all the way through to 2013. It is as much an ode to Love Park as it is to DC. There is something about lines at Love Park wearing the DC Lynx which evoke some heavy nostalgia and transport us back to simpler times. It features footage from Photosynthesis, Timecode, The DC Video, E.S.T, Static, Dying To Live, Anthology, Sex Hood Skate, Mindfield, The Sixth Sense, Shoot All Skaters, Epicly Later’d, Pigeon, Portfolio, 411VM, On Video and more. Memoryscreen did a great job, be sure to follow Memoryscreen on Instagram for regular gold. This awesome remix part was put together to help celebrate our upcoming collaboration. We have worked closely with DC on a shoe and clothing capsule. The shoe we chose was a no brainer, our very own DC Kalis Lite Slim. This shoe and the accompanying pack go on sale this Friday. If you aren’t already aware we have some special events planned for you in the coming days…”
