Dan Cates “Mega Monster Copenhagen 2011” blog – part 8

The weekend of the annual Copenhagen Pro contest finally came around, so Daniel Cates got snap happy at the legions of fresh faces to capture/blog…

Check back tomorrow for more pics from Cates’ CPH memory card.

Back at the hotel and look who's just turned up: our very own Paul Shier, with Marty Murawski and DVS TM Gabe Clement. Good lads!
And as if that wasn't enough, my best mate Wingy turned up. F*ck Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is what you might look like if your brain got removed.
25% of the 1986 G&S team: Chris Miller and Nicky Guerrero.
Braydon takes a breather.
If you own a camera you should probably just throw it in the bin right now, because it is highly unlikely that you will ever get to shoot something this epic in your life. The Phelper and Justin Ashby talk turkey/gibberish at the side of the snake run. I can only imagine how this conversation went. Legends never die.
And there was pig sandwiches for all. Hooray!
And then things got messy...the ring of fire.
New York's Reda with Edinburgh's Colin Kennedy.
Neil Smith and Weiger.
And so it was that our crew, led by a very drunk Rob Smith, sat in the corner pocket of the bowl and shouted abuse at everyone in the park. You really can't take the English anywhere.
The next day saw Rob Smith wipe his foot out in the street qualifiers...
...the course was super fun though.
And Sam Ashley was on hand to amuse me by hamming it up for the camera. And you thought Sam was a serious guy?
Brian Anderson went Rambo on the street course - press up's mid run.
