Absolute carnage is the only way to describe the opening day of the Copenhagen Open, with Faelladparken playing host to an example of just how gnarly skateboarding has become. To the young guns on the street course like Yoshi Tanenbaum and Alex Mizurov, to veterans Rune Glifberg and Nicky Guerrero smashing the snake run, to the sheer insanity of Raven Tershy’s transfer battles. Finishing off with a best trick jam through a massive, fiery heart seemed like a fitting end to the insanity, as did more beers than my liver really needed.
