Confusion Mag’s Bowlmasters 2018 Video

With Alex Hallford, Jordan Thackeray, Bjorn Lillesoe, Jonas Bunger and more

Confusion Magazine were on hand to capture the goings on at Brixlegg for the Bowlmasters 2018 contest, which saw the scenically located concrete monster ‘The Cradle’ getting its yearly heavy seeing too. Lovenskate‘s transition wizard duo of Jordan Thackeray and Alex Hallford were in the mix alongside a heavy line up of European tranny rippers, none of who were afraid to hit the deep end of the Dreamlands beast, padless, despite the fact that even from this footage you can tell it is gnarly as fuck – scroll down for a potted history of how the park came about, underneath the video itself.

Hallford came out on top this year – I didn’t think Austria was much of a religious country, but maybe it is and the constantly weeping stigmata on his hands convinced them that they were witness to the second coming? More likely it was his ability to nonchalantly blast judo airs and frontside inverts on command, though, at the park where he took part in his first ever contest way back before he was such a familiar face on our screens. Anyway, this is a quick three minute explanation of why going to these sort of events is rad – have a watch, then go organise your own!

Featuring Lenni Jannsen, Sebi Fox, Naom Lichtenstein, Alisa Fessl, Jakob Kristoferitsch, Lorenz Schneider, Bjorn Lillesoe, Roman Erhardt, Santino Exenberger, Jonas ‘Ginger’ Bunger, Matthias Trobos, Jordan Thackeray, Juergen Horrwarth, Jean Panteleo and Alex Hallford.

Filmed and edited by Peter Mader.

Built in two months between June and August 2001, ‘The Cradle’ park in Brixlegg is home to the world’s first cradle. The park was built by the Dreamlands crew led by Mark ‘Red’ Scott – Oregon’s finest who aren’t exactly known to hold back when offered the chance to build something big – so you can guarantee that the park, which lies between Brixlegg and Rattenberg and adds a touch of gnarliness to an idyllic location, is worth a visit for those seeking more thrills than their local 3 foot miniramp can offer. Go check out the park’s website for further details.
