Camp Hillcrest x Fifty Fifty Winter Sessions
Big up the youth! Here’s something a little different courtesy of Fifty Fifty and Bristol-based filmer of the highest OG-ness Tidy Mike in the form of a clip detailing Camp Hillcrest x Fifty Fifty Winter Sessions from last year.
For those who are not already aware, Camp Hillcrest is a custom-built, (and as far as the UK goes), unique skatepark/residential dormitory nestled in the glorious woodlands of rural Gloucestershire. Alongside hosting Skate Camps for some of the UK’s established set-ups like Mark Baines’ own Story Skate Camp (formerly Camp WESC) and running events in conjunction with the likes of Freestyle Skatestore from Newport, Wales and A Third foot Skateboards, Camp Hillcrest also runs regular events with neighbours and regular partners Fifty Fifty Skate Store of Bristol.
The clip you’re about to watch details goings on from a number of Fifty Fifty curated sessions in both the Camp Hillcrest park itself, and in Spit & Sawdust indoor skatepark in Cardiff who also work alongside Camp Hillcrest regularly.
Basically, take a look at the next generation of West Country heads honing their skills in front of the guy who has filmed a vast majority of the most iconic Bristol footage that’s come out over the last decade. Even better than that, you also get some true Rad Dad action here with Fifty Fifty’s Syd and son Gabe ripping together, along with Tidy Mike’s own son, Tommy Pearson getting involved.
How sick is that?
Once you’ve watched the video – head over to our recent Camp Hillcrest article where we interviewed Tom Seaton, one of the owners, to get the full back story on the construction of the camp, the ideas and inspiration behind its creation and a more in-depth insight into what goes on there.
