After a number of years with Blind Europe, Chris Oliver joined up with riders such as Andy Scott, Harry Lintell and Nick Remon at Superdead in February 2012, and was welcomed to the team with an amazing edit shot at the jagged DIY concrete jungle of north London’s Tottenham Hale. He is also part of the Vans UK Pro skate team, and has other sponsors including Relentless Energy Drink.
Among his video highlights is Alai Skateboard’s full-length Ol from 2006, and the One For You, One For Me Lisbon tour video for Australian Skate magazine in 2007. He also released an amazing ‘Day in the Life’ clip in 2010, featuring a guest appearance from Ross McGouran, in which he visited his local spots in London, including London Bridge Plaza and Dalston’s Jazz Square.
Chris grew up in the small Dorset town of Bridport and began skating in 1995, developing his skills with his mates at the local coach park. He learnt some savage street manoeuvres from watching VHS videos, and served his apprenticeship with Spanish company Alai, travelling around the country for two years in the back of a Vauxhall Corsa.
Now based in London, Chris has become a monster of all terrain, with amazing ability tackling both street and mini ramp, and a penchant for rails. His natural skills and positive, down-to-earth outlook on life has made him into one of the most consistent skateboarders in the country, despite missing two years of action following reconstructive knee surgery at the age of 20.
