The latest Blazer drop from Nike SB comes in the form of this here Blazer 58 which is the result of the collected shoe visualization skills of four heads working some of Nike SB’s key ‘Club 58 stores’.
Starting out with the timeless Blazer Mid QS silhouette, representatives from Note skate store, Street Lab, Riot skate store and Supreme, London were given an hour to create their own take on the Nike SB Blazer to come up with a new twist on this perennial favourite.
Taking inspiration from 90’s hip hop stylings, the four man team composed of Charlie O’Donnell of Note, Manchester Grant Dawson of Supreme, London, Erik Westman of Streetlab Malmo and Yann Felixian of Riot skatestore, Bordeaux came up with this dark green number.
With the addition of a vintage-inspired exposed-sponge tongue, reinforced toecap and a D-ring below the throwback script logo on the heel – this is guaranteed to be a hit with sneakerheads and skate Blazer fans alike.
Nike SB’s soon-to-be-regular ‘Club 58 Summits’ (with the first held in Barcelona this summer) aim to involve those people on the retail front line slinging kicks in the design process relating to what ends up on the shelves, with the winning designs selected by Nike heads themselves.
This is the first of many to come.
