Weedmaps presents ‘Boocelona Spaindoval’ a video filmed with a small portion of the Weedmaps squad on the well trodden streets of Barcelona. In the midst of Catalan independence rallies and increasingly heavy handed crackdowns on the Catalan independence movement by authorities and by the Spanish police (the iron fist of which most visiting skateboard tourists in Barcelona will have undoubtedly experienced), a few of Barca’s most iconic spots get a seeing too from Boo Johnson, Tommy Sandoval, Stevie Williams, Kristian Krasimirov and Mike Berdis.

Barcelona might not be the most original choice of destination for a skate trip, but we can’t really argue with new Stevie Williams footage or with Boo Johnson and Tommy Sandoval doubling up on double sets, can we? Press play below and remind yourself of why, all these years on from its late 90s/early 2000s explosion, it’s still the skate mecca it was back then.

“Dude, outside Cali right? I won’t include Cali, because Cali has the best stuff. But otherwise, I dunno. On this trip I’d say Barcelona, but every trip is different. I can’t say anywhere else has the best because that’s definitely California – LA and Long Beach. Other than that its hit and miss – you’ll be in China and get some good kush or something, then be in Barcelona and I got some sour diesel and I’m like, “This is like some Cali shit right here”. At the end of the day, you gotta try all these different types.”
