Prior to Walthamstow’s very own Dane ‘Morph’ Crook getting arrested earlier this year, he was working on a series of ‘Skate Crates’ episodes for us. The first three episodes we managed to get hold of beforehand, so – following on from his interview last week – we’ll be releasing them over the course of the next few Friday’s. Expect unseen footage from a wide cross-section of the London skate scene, along with previously unused clips from the Blueprint Skateboards squad.
First up is this ‘London Crates’ episode, focusing mainly on Blueprint heads as Morph took the role as full time filmer for the company whilst they were gathering footage for their final video release, the 2010 Dan Magee produced offering ‘Make Friends With The Colour Blue’. Neil Smith, Chewy Cannon, Sylvain Tognelli, Nick Jensen and Danny Brady all put in solid appearances, alongside a pre-retirement Vaughan Baker and Ben Nordberg, who briefly rode for the company (twice…) before ultimately winding up on Flip.
Watch on below now for over three minutes of Big Smoke street business, then check back next Friday to see what other archival gems Morph dug up for you in episode 2…
