Having only slept for about three hours out of the forty-eight that preceded our trip to Carlsbad skatepark, I was wandering around trying to find a way to break the standard fisheye on the platform shot we’re all overly familiar with. Standing with my point and shoot camera merely trying to get a composition I was happy with, Sam rode through the frame with an backside air and egg plant back to back.  Sam then spent the next two hours battling with a trick he’d never done under the looming blanket of jet lag as he had also flown in a few days earlier.
