Ricardo Markin has just sent us through two new video releases from the ever productive Ipswich scene, ‘Realization’ and the Scenario Skateboards Promo. REALIZATION is Ricardo’s follow up to ‘DEREALIZATION‘, an Ipswich scene video by James Mills who sadly and unexpectedly passed away last June. This new video is made up of the DV tapes which were to be a part of James’ next project. The Scenario Skateboards Promo, meanwhile, is the first offering from a new Ipswich/Suffolk based skateboard brand featuring some familiar faces from the area. Anyway, scroll down for Ricardo’s words on the two videos and press play for a solid portion of Ipswich scene ripping.
Roll forever James!
REALIZATION
“A film by the late James Mills compiled by myself after his passing using all of the tapes that were found. Premiered on the 30th Jan (James’ birthday) to celebrate his life, many friends and family attended. I set up a GoFundMe page to raise money in order to purchase something that’ll improve the families lives through such a hard time. VX1000/MK1 OG setup. He travelled miles to film his friends skate despite having a broken ankle during the most part – very committed. I used some of his favourite tracks/artists (Task Force, CasIsDead, Jehst etc.) from over the years to create a piece he would hopefully be proud of, despite the fact that it wasn’t finished in his eyes. The video was mostly filmed in Ipswich.”
Scenario Skateboards Promo
Small crew, mostly Ipswich/Suffolk spots, as well as some European footage – Copenhagen and Paris. New local company, boards not yet available to purchase but always hooking up the team and friends with gear. Featuring Adam Howe, Jacob Attenborrow, Jon Minta and Fred Gravenor, all members of the team. It was filmed by Jon Minta, Jacob Attenborrow, Adam Howe and Marcus Hurd and was edited by myself. Filmed over the last few years. HD but traditional 4:3 aspect ratio.
