More info via the flyer, or the press release below the clip.
“The competition is now in its 8th year of running. If you are not familiar with the event, it gives 6 skaters a chance to enter as part of a team competing against other teams all around Essex and the surrounding areas (you do not have to be from the area to take part, we have had teams in the past take part in Germany and as far afield as New Zealand) . The event runs in a similar format to Thrasher King of the Road, with the exception that it is open to all skaters of all abilities and ages from grass roots beginners to seasoned veterans. Each team is given a list of challenges to complete for points over a weekend. Each team then submits a 15 minute edit of their weekend, which is then uploaded to our website. The public then vote on their favourite edit and prizes are given out. Prizes are not just for the most popular edit, there are also prizes and trophies (which are hand made from recycled skate gear) for the team which had the most fun, most points along with individual trophies, youngest skater and best slam/bail…any and every thing is up for grabs so what you waiting for – go register over at www.LordsOfTheSwords.com“
