Lewes Skate Jam 2018 AKA The Great Lewes Mauling will be taking place this Saturday the 21st of July, kicking off at 11:30am after a skate school which kicks off at 10am.
An hour of warming up will be followed by the first jam taking place in the bowl and volcano at 12:30pm, before things move on to centre point of the street course with a stairs, rails and hubbas session at half past 1 – with the bonus of a hippy jump event to make sure things stay on trend. At 2:30pm things really kick into gear, with a wallride jam and, more importantly, a mongo push slalom/relay event; so get that chicken foot warmed up…
The barrel and over vert area gets some love next, with a best trick jam taking place that should see plenty of heavy tricks go down. At half past 4, for those who haven’t used up all their energy in the earlier events/are drunk enough to think it’s a good idea, there’s the carnage that is the barrel jump event. Go check out the last minute and a half of last year’s inaugural jam for an idea of how that one goes…
If for some reason you are yet to be convinced, go check out last Autumn’s mission over from Brighton with Crust TV. The park can be found on Malling Recreational Ground, Lewes, BN7 2FZ – keep an eye on both the Facebook event page and the Lewes Skatepark page for further information!
