Fissure Time – full length Sheffield scene video

The rugged streets of the Steel City

Fissure Time is the first full length skate scene video by Frank O’Donnell, the majority of which is filmed in Sheffield but which also includes clips from all over the UK as well as footage filmed on trips to Copenhagen and Berlin. This is a proper scene production which sees all terrain covered by a wide range of Sheffield heads, visitors and mates of Frank’s from out of town – whether they be well known faces like Shaun Currie, Dead Dave, or just random crew members along for the session.

Sheffield street spots naturally look good on the camera and this is no exception, with an overall vibe which will have you looking to move to the Steel City immediately or at least pay a weekend visit to explore its quintessentially Yorkshire streets and ginnals. The cemetery gate wallie is particularly aesthetically pleasing and chimes in nicely with Yorkshire’s gothic heritage (in Bram Stoker’s Dracula the ship carrying Dracula’s coffin runs ashore in Whitby – go visit at the right time of year and you’ll witness white make upped types taking selfies next to gravestones during Whitby Goth Weekend. Don’t say we never pass on useful information). It’s also worth point out the high quality of the lurkers who populate the between-skating interludes – some next level oddballs appear in this one!

Anyway, the point of all that rambling is that we highly recommend watching this for a dose of skateboarding enjoyment. For more from Frank, check out his Tunbridge Wells scene edit ‘Somnambulism‘.
