Slick Willies ‘City Slickers’ comp 2015
This year the annual City Slickers Competition hosted by Slick Willies Skate Shop was held at the Better Extreme Indoor Skatepark in Barking. This is the event’s third year running and each year we try to visit a different area of London, we chose Better Extreme as it is a brand new park and no one had held an event there before us.
The City Slickers Skateboard Comp is all about trying to involve everyone which is why we always have separate heats for younger riders, the standard in both the under 14’s and the 15 to 17’s was incredible and both these events had a strong turnout. The highlight of the day though had to be the open comp and it was really difficult to pick out the winners. Alex Decunha was on fire all day taking first place and £300 prize money, Adam Keats took second bagging £150 and third went to Aaron Jago with £75.
Big thanks to everyone who turned up and the sponsors who supported us, we’ll be back next year!
