Sidewalk Skateboarding Lucien Clarke - Sidewalk Skateboarding

Lucien Clarke

Already an integral part of Supra Footwear’s premier skate team, skate gypsy Lucien Clarke joined KR3W’s European team in early 2013 and spent much of the year on an extended European tour with his new teammates. He also rides for Palace Skateboards, Stella Supply Co., Slam City Skates and Autobahn Wheels.

Lucien was born in Jamaica and lived in New York City for six years as a youngster. After moving to London, he was inspired to begin skating after seeing the action at Hyde Park’s Albert Memorial in 2000, and he developed his skills as a teenager with Palace teammate Chewy Cannon at Swiss Cottage blocks. 14 years later, he has developed into one of the finest British skateboarders since Benny Fairfax.

His first major video part came in Ian Passmore’s Hello Coco (2004), and he also made appearances in the first Square video No Place Like Home (2005), the DVS films Summer Bailout Package and Dudes Dudes Dudes (both 2008), and Chris Mulhern’s independently-released film from 2010 This Time Tomorrow. In 2012, he had a shared part with Steph Morgan in Slam City Skates’ grimy, London-set City of Rats

Lucien’s upbringing on two continents has undoubtedly influenced his skating, and he is well-known for bringing a laid-back American, cool-cat style to the streets of the UK’s capital – in fact, everything about him, from skate style to personality, is easy and effortless. Happy to skate either regular or goofy, his current ‘go to’ trick is a nollie flip.
