Vague Skate Mag presents Severn – Thirsty

Check out what the streets of the Hungarian capital have to offer

Vague Skate Mag presents Severn Caps’ new video ‘Thirsty’, which sees their crew descend on the streets of Budapest to see what spots get thrown up (with help from the ever productive local Rios Crew). Budapest is a fairly un-rinsed city when it comes to street spots (it has fuck all in the way of skateparks, as you may surmise from the Creature Skateboards footage captured on their European Postcards trip) and, with the crusty hillbomb spots of the Buda side of the river contrasting with the flat ground and plaza spots of the Pest bank of the Danube, has something to offer for pretty much everyone. Except those of you who enjoy skateparks, you’re fucked.

In case you’ve managed to miss the regular output from the Rios Crew and fancy seeing more of what the city has to offer then you could do worse than putting the kettle on, heading over to the Kingpin website‘s extensive Rios video library and working out whether this is going to be next on the list for skate holiday destinations. Add in the always welcome temptation of cheap beer and food and we’d be surprised if you’re not straight onto a search for flights after watching this one! Just don’t ask for garlic bread when you get there, I tried that once and got a full loaf of bread peppered with pieces of chopped raw garlic – which didn’t rank too highly amongst my culinary experience abroad…

Charlie Munro, Jim Silver, Manny Lopez, Conor Charleson, Will Creswick and Joe Coward managed to avoid the temptations of the ruin bars for long enough to crank out some top notch skateboarding,

Filmed and edited by Sirus F Gahan.

PS., Will Creswick wins this one for the shoveit tailgrab off a curb to end a line.

PPS., yes Darkthrone!
