Chris Mulhern presents Untitled 002, the second in a series of trailers leading up to his next full length skate video/ode to the streets of Philadelphia (I’m making a mental note from now on to include as many Bruce Springsteen song titles in these posts as I can. Why? Why not!). Featuring the likes of Ishod Wair, Kevin Lowry, Yaje Popson and Dylan Sourbeer, alongside plenty of other familiar East Coast faces, saying that we’re looking forward to this one would be a massive understatement.
With previous work under his belt including the brilliant Transatlantic scene video This Time Tomorrow, which saw the London-bred ability to tackle rugged street terrain of Lucien Clarke taking curtain closing credits, as well as time travelling concept video The Philadelphia Experiment, it is always going to be interesting to see what Mulhern comes up with next.
Even via a five minute promo, this is a testament to Mulhern’s talent for perfectly encapsulating that elusive ‘East Coast street skating’ vibe for which Dan Wolfe laid the template in the Sub Zero and Eastern Exposure videos. This is a level of filming and editing (and it’s worth noting the work of Andrew Meyer and Sabotage filmer Brian Panebianco in the role of additional filmers) which will have even the most ardent of VX purists admitting is banging. Press play below then keep an eye out for more info on the full length, which we’ll undoubtedly be sharing when we have it!
Featuring Mark Del Negro, Joey O’Brien, Nate Pezzillo, Dylan Sourbeer, Ishod Wair, Kevin Liedtke, Kevin Lowry, Brian Douglas, Justin Adeniran, Brian Panebianco, Pat Heid, Yaje Popson, Matt Militano and Ricky Geiger.
After checking this out then you can further your Mulhern fix by watching the previous promo via The Berrics, just don’t reply if Steve Berra starts emailing you asking how your Thetan levels are doing…
