So in a world where skating is online instantly it’s hard sometimes to find skating that means something to you. I see crazy videos on Instagram that are amazing but I don’t relate to them as others might, so here’s some YouTube videos that I watch regularly to keep the fire burning.

Skate Jail – The Welcome Skateboard Team

The first video is called ‘Skate Jail’ – it’s the Welcome team in a skatepark for skatans’ sake, powered by their own hype and feeding off each other. That’s what I like to see!

The Legend of Div – Div Adam – The Predatory Bird

Another video I watch on YouTube all the time is ‘The Legend of Div’. It’s about going the distance and that’s what Div does, on his journey he provides skating that will blow your mind. He’s a one of a kind, his personality on his board makes you want to skate and travel.

Double Rock – Nike SB Euro Edit

One clip that got me hyped recently, that I had to re-watch as soon as I finished it, was the Double Rock Nike SB Euros edit. My days, I was so hyped to see Hugo and Nando and the Scandinavian lads killing it. The skating speaks for itself and I know them personally, so watching them gets me so hyped!

Chris Cope – Route 44 Section

Chris Cope’s ‘Route 44’ part was something that had my jaw on the floor! His power and trick choice defines what skating is to me. He builds his power up and then releases it at the end of a run. If Cope doesn’t get you wanting to skate pools then no one will!

Grant Taylor and the Makas

There are a few Grant Taylor videos out there that I watch a lot but ‘Grant Taylor and the Makas’ is one of my favourites, some heavy hitters doing what they do best. I don’t think any one has to say why they like Grant Taylor – the man is a human skateboard, watching him roll out then roll in again at Mach ten is better for me than watching a fella flip an 18 stair (unless it’s Reynolds). Grant is the chosen one!
