We Are Supra Berlin sees the Supra Footwear team hit the streets of the German Capital to stack clips for an upcoming Spencer Hamilton clip which launches later this month alongside his new pro model shoe. The Berlin weather isn’t particularly known for its reliability but it was clearly up for playing ball here, with the sun shining on an array of iconic German spots (including the truly ridiculous Kultur Forum, which is basically a half mile radius skate plaza made predominantly out of marble – there even used to be a tiki bar at the bottom end where you could get a Zombie for five euros, in case it’s still there and for those interested in turning into a George A. Romero extra from early afternoon onwards).
Tom Penny, Jim Greco, Spencer Hamilton, Sascha Daley, Lizard King and Oscar Candon make the most of sun – and probably good German beer and falafel because that’s what I’d do if I were there – to lay down a few hammers and remind you why Berlin, despite not having the smoothest spots in the world outside of the aforementioned Kultur Forum, is such a destination for skate tourism. Talking of which, the Copenhagen Open has upped sticks to Berlin this year and will be hitting the city between the 9th and 12th of August. Will cheaper beer result in even more chaos? Can a five day skate event survive without Christiania as an eye for the booze-fuelled storm? There’s only one way to find out I guess…
For a further fix of Supra shredding, check out the full edit from last year’s We Are Supra tour which saw them travelling through Portugal, Belgium and France.
“We Are Supra launched its second chapter in Berlin recently, showing off this season’s newest styles while also putting the finishing touches on Spencer Hamilton’s Elevate video – which is launching later this month with his pro-model shoe.”
