Sunday Service: Sean Smith – ‘Dimensions’ (2009)

MK's finest closing off the first (and last) Motive Skateboards video.

Back in 2009, the Rob Selley-lead Motive Skateboards outfit was firmly in full flow. Dylan Hughes, Sean Smith and Dave Snaddon could all been seen sporting their very own pro boards, Barney Page and Jack Edwards were both carrying the Motive torch for the next generation, and their first full length DVD offering ‘Dimensions’ was distributed around the UK and beyond on the cover of October’s issue of Sidewalk Magazine.

As soon as it was announced that Motive would be releasing a DVD, it was laid on that Sean would be shutting the production down, but no one really knew how hard he’d gone in for the part. As per, he came through with an abundance of all too casual ledge business, displaying perfect execution on near enough everything, though everything had been stepped up a gear. The lines were more technical, the pop was on another level, the style seemed more relaxed than ever…this part could drop tomorrow, 8 years later, and easily still stand up against anything that’s come out in the time since.

Sit yourself back, hit the play button below and enjoy a proper UK masterclass in precision and style. Filmed and edited by Ciaran O’Connor.
