With the Vans Pro Skate Park Series hitting Malmo this weekend, Vans have joined forces with Skate Malmo to offer up various side events to the main spectacle. The first one went off yesterday at Stapelbaddsparken, while the details of today’s and tomorrow’s events can be seen below. In the lead up to this weekends first ever park terrain world championships Skate Malmö are hosting several localised skate competitions. The first to take place was yesterday evening at Stapelbaddsparken for the Deep End Session event. With an array of global participants and several local skaters competing the atmosphere was loud & joyous throughout.
Brothers Roman & Cedric Pabich set the standard but young local rippers Kalle, Herman & Ossian weren’t far behind with a number of eye catching tricks.
The next stop for the Skate Malmö crew will be this evening for the Central Station Jam in association with Malmö Skateboards Underground.

1. Roman Pabich, USA – Skating with a broken arm…still going super hard! Backside boneless on tombstone…fastplant to judo air…fast plant to fakie over channel…Roman was ripping!!!
2. Kalle Berglind, SWE – Malmö local with speedlines, huge airs, long grinds, eggplants, sadplants…tail grab nose grind revert up on extension.
3. Cedric Pabich, USA – Fingerflip to tail over channel…disaster up on tombstone…tailslides & grinds.
4. Daniel Vargas, USA – Nollie alleyoop tailgrab & layback grinds.
