Nike SB presents ‘Nyjah Huston ‘Til Death’, which sees the former child prodigy carcass toss himself at some of the grimmest handrails we can imagine for the lens of Ty Evans. The slams in this are no joke, as is to be expected when someone is fucking with 300 stair, 70 kink handrails – well maybe not quite that, but you get the idea. Nyjah was clearly down to put the work in for this one and it shows, as the skateboarding within is top notch.
Filmed and edited as it is by Ty Evans – the mastermind behind such non-B-movie productions as We Are Blood and The Flat Earth – this may not appeal to those of you who wake up and watch Our Life videos for breakfast, but there is no denying that the skateboarding within is insane. For a look at how far handrail skating has progressed since the early days of street skating you could definitely do worse than pressing play below and getting comfortable for eleven minutes of highly glossy, high definition skateboarding taken to some of the heaviest spots around.
Produced by Ghost Digital Cinema.
Nyjah is also the subject of this week’s episode of The Nine Club with Chris Roberts, which sees him discussing growing up in Davis CA, getting on Element at 8 years old, moving to Puerto Rico, leaving Element to start I&I, getting back on Element, his family situation growing up, leaving DC for Nike, his new video part “Til’ Death”, designing his pro Nike SB shoe and much more. We decided to throw that in for good measure, so after watching the skateboarding above you can get an insight into how the part came together as well as into other areas of Nyjah’s life.
