Hooked Clothing presents ‘Acid Drop’ a full length skate video filmed predominantly in the Midlands and featuring a solid cross section of the scene out that way, with full parts from Fraser Doughty, Jacob Bettinson, Josh Price, David Ford, Callum Moore and Phil Long.
The video, which clocks in at nearly the 40 minute mark, also features various friends and family including Alex Brewster, Kane Cunliffe, Ryan Leech, Shane Fish, Tobey Hunt, Romy Haynes, Ryan Kearney, Nick Roberts, Craig Smedley, Harley Mousely, Jim Harahan, Adam Richards, Liam McCabe, Brandon Morris, Conor Andrews, Adam Connor, Sam McAteer, Asa Kirk, Toby Batchelor, Toby Harrison and Chandon Gallagher.

Jacob Bettinson kicks proceedings off with a barrage of smooth, technical skateboarding across a wide array of spots – ranging from rugged Midlands DIY to Bristolian ledge staples to sun drenched Spanish concrete. This is followed by a section of light footed no complys, body varials and general steez from RWTB’s sun avoidance general Fraser Doughty. A heavy friends montage backs things up and throws up plenty of Midlands rippers, including Heathen Skateboards’ all terrain vehicle Nick Roberts.
Callum Moore lays down a selection of technically precise bangers, with Josh Price following on with a similarly tech approach, a deep bag of tricks and and a clearly light hearted approach to the four wheeled plank which has an air of Josh Cox about it. A second montage offers up another wave of Midlands destruction from all and sundry, which kicks off with a cameo from none other than Craig Smedley. David Ford flits between Midlands and Catalan staples for his penultimate section and handles both with ease, before curtain closing honours go to Phil Long – who handles everything from stair sets and handrails to DIY ledge set ups and crusty banks with ease, making for a well deserved ender!
All in all Hooked have come through with a properly put together scene production dripping in stoke on the scene which has produced it. Put aside 40 minutes of your life and raise a glass to them!
