Heath Kirchart – Near-Death experiences
We’re assuming that this is a legit upload seeing as it’s been on YouTube for over a week so, for those of you who didn’t manage to catch the Heath Kirchart Epicly Later’d when it first aired on Viceland, here it is in all its mysteriously majestic glory.
Heath Kirchart needs no introduction: from the 14-year-old kid in baggy pants skating a carpark with Tony Hawk, to the dude in all-white skating epic-scale rails years before anyone else – the quiet man with the film star good looks has always been as enigmatic as he is ground-breaking.
Epicly Later’d’s Pat O’Dell catches up with the man himself as he and Skate Talk’s Boosh attempt to row across the Sea of Cortez and breaks down Heath’s career, his attitude to being a pro skater, why he retired himself and refused ‘free money’ and his numerous near-death experiences both on and off his skateboard.
40 minutes of compelling viewing from the one skater that everyone loves.
Bravo Epicly Later’d.
