Headhunting at The House Comp with Shaun Currie
With Sk8 Wine‘s own Rob Ayton away on extended hiatus in the USA, myself and Shaun Currie figured that somebody ought to step into the breach and spend a little time making people feel uncomfortable in front of a camera at The House indoor skatepark comp held this weekend.
Happily for us, this wasn’t all that difficult as it turns out that pretty much anyone will feel self-conscious when confronted by a hyper Shaun and a death-lens shoved in their faces. We popped outside after the Girls skate comp and just before the Semi-Finals kicked off and bumped into various heads, both local and from further afield, and harassed them into talking on a number of topics.
These topics ranged from why Ben Broyd was probably going to win, despite allegedly “doing too many grabs”, Burton-on-Trent skate terminology and channeling spirit animals with Rainbow Swag Lord.
Whether you’ll take anything from this Headhunting at The House Comp with Shaun Currie clip, other than the fact that it seemed a dead cert that Ben Broyd would win before the Semi’s even took place is open to discussion but, if nothing else, Shaun is pretty funny.
