etnies presents Chris Joslin‘s ‘Album’ part, online for only 24 hours (as with previous parts to have been uploaded) so you better press play quickly on this one! Joslin’s ability to film for multiple amazing parts at the same time is by now well known pretty much throughout skateboarding – no mean feat considering he’s only been in the spotlight for a few short years – but this is him going in all guns blazing, knee cartilage creaking and with a look in his eye that undoubtedly has stair sets trembling in fear.
Have a watch of this one, get a hold of the DVD from the etnies website and go check out what Mike Manzoori had to say on making the video when we caught up with him a couple of weeks ago. You can also hear from Joslin himself about filming for the video and much more in his recent interview on The Nine Club.
“etnies presents ALBUM, a feature-length global skateboarding film documenting some of the biggest names and emerging talents in modern skateboarding as they scour city streets across five different continents – all arranged to an original soundtrack. The concept of the soundtrack for ALBUM was to involve musicians that have been interwoven into the fabric of skateboarding culture for decades and create something original that was inspired by each skater’s style and personality. This film is an ALBUM of moments and a reflection of all the years of dedication that went into the project. It is a time capsule of commitment and an offering of gratitude to skateboarding.”
Featuring Chris Joslin, Ryan Sheckler, Matt Berger, Nick Garcia, Trevor McClung, Ryan Lay, Aidan Campbell, Barney Page, Willow, David Reyes, Jamie Tancowny, Silvester Eduardo, Koichiro Uehara and Samarria Brevard.
Directed by Mike Manzoori.
