The Nine Club with Chris Joslin
This week’s episode of The Nine Club sees Plan B and Etnies pro Chris Joslin sitting down to explain to the crew his penchant for cartilage crunching drops and gaps. For those of you who have managed to catch one of the various premieres of the new Etnies video ‘Album‘ which have gone down already, you’ll know that Joslin is showing no signs of slowing down when it comes to spots which, ten years ago (and even despite the prevalence of the Zero and Baker axis of hammers which ruled supreme at the time), would have been laughable. That being said, he goes into detail here on his new found love of piecing together ledge lines and mixing it up with a lower impact approach to the four wheeled plank. First sponsors, learning tricks off tables before learning them on flat, getting married at 21, moving from Powell to Plan B, his section in ‘Album’ coming about and more…
Joslin is young and so this doesn’t go in depth as some previous guests have done, but the moment when Chris Roberts claims that Joslin almost won last year’s Battle at the Berrics and has to be reminded that he did win is definitely one of the funniest Nine Club moments so far.
“This week we’ve got Chris Joslin on the show discussing growing up in Hawaiian Gardens CA, skating the Hollywood 12 at 12 years old, getting his first sponsor Powell, leaving Powell for Plan B, getting married at 21, filming his first major video part “B True”, his first pro shoe with Etnies, his new video part in the Etnies video “Album”, did he skate El Toro and much more!”
For good measure, here’s the previously discussed BATB;
