Empire Games – “Drop of Doom” presented by Converse

The Empire Games hit Montreal again a few days ago, following on from last year’s Wall of Death with more mosh-tastic life endangering obstacles in the form of the ‘Drop of Doom’ – a ten foot high transition to which foot high blocks were added as each round went on. The higher the drop in the more slams, whittling down challengers by way of bodily trauma. Last year’s winner Phil Dulude came out on top again with a frankly ludicrous 20′ drop in, with Leon Chapdelaine and Jordan Gallant tied for second dropping in from 18’…but to be fair if you were willing to get involved in this one, you’re a winner – a winner who probably shouldn’t be allowed to breed…

Honourable mentions –

Highest Switch Drop In – Cody Cormier & Leon Chapdelaine – 13ft

Highest Roll In – Phil Dulude – 14ft
