Element – ‘Hand Werpen’ Phil Zwijsen pro model

Element present the new ‘Hand Werpen’ Phil Zwijsen pro model, backed up by an edit explaining the myth behind the design alongside Phil ripping the Antwerp streets. Check the press release and edit below!

For his second pro model , once again the artwork was done by artist Nath Russel, based on Phil’s hometown funding myth, Antwerp.

From popular belief, the city got its name from a legend Giant Druon Antigoon who used to demand a toll from those crossing the river.

The ones who refused, he severed one of their hands and threw it into the river.
One day, Antigoon was slain by a young Roman soldier named Brabo, who cut off the giant’s own hand and flung it into the river. This legend is the origin of Antwerp city’s name: Hand and wearpan (= to throw the hand).

The commercial video has been filmed and edited by Öctagon’s mastermind Joaquim Bayle.”
