The Shiner “Deckades” vintage skateboards exhibition opened at the Bristol Howies store on Friday night, with a turnout of enthusiastic folk from all over the place coming to marvel at rare boards from the personal vaults of Shiner.
In addition to the 200 boards on display, a series of well known artists have created one off graphics on the classic 1987 shape Chris Miller ‘Snake’ blank – these include hand painted pieces by the likes of Jim Phillips, Geoff McFetridge, Pete Fowler, French, Kev Grey, Chris Bourke, Danny Wainwright, Jethro Haynes and more. Each of the boards are now up for grabs on Ebay, with all proceeds going straight to Unicef.
